You may or may not have noticed that things have gone a little quiet round here lately. I'm being very careful not to apologise for this because it's one of my bugbears about blogging - and if bloggers weren't out in the world being very busy and making life happen we would have nothing to blog about!
My lack of regular blogging hasn't been due to a lack of creativity though, oh no. Major exciting projects are afoot, which I am excited to share with you in due course. I've been putting together some crafty projects for a couple of magazines, I'm preparing for my next craft fair... and I'm slap bang in the middle of moving house! It's a pretty major task, and I'm currently writing this from the floor of my old bedroom - just me and Beatrix and not a scrap of furniture in sight. All very zen! I'm feeling positive about the prospect of all the making opportunities for a new home, so that's going to keep me and this blog busy for months to come.
Anyway, I'm trying to keep life running as normally as possible through all these changes and chaos, so the day job, my Etsy shop, #PostCircle, Creatives Unite, and, oh yes - my social life - are all pretty much functioning, with Bea being spoiled by various friends coming to take her out on walks while I shift worldly possessions.
You might think it would be easiest just to abandon all crafting until things settle down a little, but I've been finding that five minutes' knitting here, and a bit of button painting there have been great de-stress activities. I'm still knitting my never-ending scarf (still, yes, still) and can even amble around with the wool tucked under my arm, knitting away and looking like I'm playing the woolly bagpipes.
So next time life's hectic I wholly recommend a five minute craft break. After all, there is more than one type of productivity, right?
